Purpose
Establishment of Center for Semiconductor and Device Ecosystem as a joint education and research center
- Based on the semiconductor technology (including the transfer method using two
-dimensional material tape) and know-how that GIC has accumulated and maintained, as well as clean rooms and auxiliary equipment, we will carry out open innovation initiatives related to semiconductor and device research and education. - The aim is to create a world-class research and education base for the semiconductor and device ecosystem, as well as an open innovation platform for the creation of next-generation semiconductors from the perspectives of new designs, processes, materials and applications.
- Through these efforts, we will actively contribute to expanding the use of energy-saving electronics products centered around semiconductors, building distributed energy systems, and advancing the IoT society.
